Eocheongdo trip

 Eocheongdo ferry terminal

 Jungle Nightjar

 Forest Wagtail

The island welcomes us by the calls of many birds and indeed it is true, there are so many birds around when we explore the island. The impressive lifers for me in this island are the Jungle Nightjar, White-throated Rock Thrush and Forest Wagtail.

“Affiliated with Okdo-myeon, Gunsan-si, Jeollabuk-do, Eocheongdo is the westernmost island of Jeollabuk-do, approximately 64 km away from Gunsan Harbor in a northwesterly direction. It takes about two and a half hours by ferry from Gunsan Ferry Terminal.” (A Guide to Migratory Bird Areas of Korea)
